The Torresmo Mabiju is prepared by cutting pork belly into small pieces and frying or roasting it until crispy. It is of Portuguese origin, but it is widely consumed in Brazilian cuisine.
It is eaten as a snack accompanied by lime, pineapple jelly, or pepper jelly and is also used in recipes such as feijoada and feijão tropeiro. Besides, it is perfect to accompany a beer or cachaça.
